I have a mixture of carat gold?

We will give you the individual prices for the different gold carat that we receive from you.

My gold does not carry a hallmark?

It does not matter. As soon as we receive your gold we will analyse each carat / weight and then immediately contact you with our cash for gold offer.

My gold weight does not agree with yours?

We have specialist gold scales and if there is any discrepancy on weight, we will notify you immediately before going any further.

How can I get my scrap gold to Northern Gold?

We strongly advise you send your gold to us in a sealed jiffy bag via Royal Mail Special Delivery. The starting insurance price is £500 cover. If your gold exceeds the above you can get cover for up to £2,500 per parcel from your Post Office. Once you have arranged your Special Delivery you can visit the Royal Mail Website here then enter your Code to track your parcel to ensure safe delivery to us. Alternatively why not pop into one of our shops and meet us! It is advisable to contact us prior to your visit to ensure a member of staff will be available.

How do you pay me?

Once we have received your gold, we will send you a cheque the same day at first class post, or bacs transfer into your bank account at the highest possible price on the day.

When are you Open?

Our business hours are: Monday to Friday / 9am to 5pm. We are closed weekends and bank holidays.

How can I trust Northern Gold?

We are happy to meet you at our offices or for larger quantities your home or office. Feel free to ask us for letters of recommendation. We have Lots!

The gold market always fluctuates, what happens if the value for my gold changes once I have sent it?

We will give you the best possible market price on the day we receive your gold.

What do you buy?

Here at Northern Gold we accept many types of gold as all of it has some value, whether it is unwanted, broken jewellery, dental gold or old gold coins.

I don't know how much my gold weighs.

If you do not have accurate weighing equipment don't worry, when we receive your gold we will carefully weigh it to the nearest 0.1 gram to ensure you get the best price possible.

How do I know you have received my gold?

Upon us receiving your gold and after it has been tested, we will send you a cheque, the same day at first class post., or bacs transfer into your bank account at the highest possible price on the day. What about gemstones in my jewellery?

We do not buy gemstones. However we can't return them or add them to the weight of the gold! Please send items with gems in at your own judgement as gems have no value to us and will not be returned.

Do you buy silver as well as gold?

Yes, please contact us with the details if you have silver you wish to sell. Cash for Silver too!

What if I change my mind once I have sent you my gold?

You can then choose to either accept the offer or reject it in which case we will send back your gold by Royal Mail special delivery at no cost to you.
